COMMUNITY OUTREACH
In The Kidz Kitchen, our mission goes beyond teaching kids how to cook—we’re passionate about nurturing kindness, generosity, and a love for giving back. We believe that food has the power to bring people together, and we encourage our young chefs to use their culinary skills to make a positive impact in their communities.
Throughout the year, we’ve partnered with wonderful organizations to spread that spirit of giving:
- The Bromley Center Food Pantry – We donated approximately 100 non-perishable goods collected by our Kidz Kitchen families during the 2024 holiday season.
- EASEL Animal Rescue – Our junior chefs baked “Sheena’s Sweet Potato Treats” during one of our Summer 2025 camps and donated them to support rescued animals in honor of Chef Rose's beloved pup, Sheena.
- Juniper Village at Hamilton Holiday Cooking Class – Our Junior Chefs volunteered their time to cook alongside the residents of Juniper Assisted Living in December 2025, making butternut squash soup and honey butter biscuits. Moments like these remind us that cooking is about more than recipes—it’s about connection, kindness, and giving back to our community.
- Juniper Village at Hamilton Juneteenth Celebration- The Kidz Kitchen was honored to return to Juniper Village in 2026 to celebrate Juneteenth with the residents. Our Junior Chefs did an outstanding job assisting with cooking tasks, creating meaningful connections across generations through food and conversation. Chef Rose shared a brief history of Juneteenth before everyone prepared homemade macaroni and cheese inspired by James Hemings, the enslaved chef who helped popularize the dish in America. To complete the celebration, we enjoyed refreshing strawberry-watermelon smoothies, whose vibrant red color symbolizes the resilience, strength, and courage honored on Juneteenth.
We’re always looking for new ways to connect with and support our community. If you’re part of an organization that would like to partner with The Kidz Kitchen, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can make the world a little brighter—one recipe at a time.
